Any body on the Big Island of Hawaii?

I am in Volcano side!! Used to be in orchidland! I wasn't sure if i was the only one on the big island!

 

Hey there AutobotXJ, I just moved from Naalehu to Pahoa, good to hear from someone on the island, your XJ looks good, how big is your lift? I'm going to lift mine 3" to start and then maybe another 1.5" with spacers later. My tires are almost shot so the lift is coming up soon!
Today I'm changing the injectors to 703's

Why did you leave naalehu? I really like it there but i guess jobs are sparse. My wife teaches at ka'u inter.i have he 3" kit by Zone aal... They said they're getting full leafs soon. What kind of xj do you have?

 

We want to settle in the Pahoa area and our son is starting high school over, but my wife works at Naalehu elem school as a teacher, funny.

 

Oh and my XJ is a 95 two door sport, it's beat but I'm starting to fix it up the interior is almost done ( it needed a headliner, many clips and a good cleaning) soon I will start on the body work and I'm going to do my own camo paint scheme.

 

If you need any parts for your 2-door (i also have a 2-door), i know Mel in eden rock has a couple. He's an honest guy to deal with if you haven't already. Let me know if you need any pointers on the jeep. I've hqd mine since 2003 but only this year started modifying it with the lift, sye, muffler, bored tb etc. Its a great project and rewarding when it works and disheatening when it doesnt. If you know anyone with offset rims and 31's for sale, let me know.

 

Great! I have a SYE but have not installed it yet, I plan on running 33's with flares after I put my lift on. Think I will need a few parts too ( as all jeep owners do ).

 

Did you have your TB bored here on Island?

 

I got it from xjfiles here on the forum- he was very fast. And come to think of it, i forgot to send back the core!
