I'm not sure what meter you guys are really referring to, but your looking for a swr rating of between 1.0 and 2.0.
I haven't been around too many cb's but most of them have a digital or analog s/rf meter, but that's different than swr.

mine has an SWR meter built in as well as a **** for tuning on the unit itself. It's been a while but I believe some cobras came with an swr meter on them as well although I could be wrong on that. Pry the best thing to do is find someone local or on your next run have someone grab an swr meter and tune it for you. I've got a stand alone meter as well and would be willing to tune it if your in the neighborhood or go wheeling together it only takes a couple minutes but if not done your cb will cook itself.

Blacked out the tail lights, light on the hatch, and side blinkers and replaced the running light/turn signal sockets under the headlight on the passenger side. looks awesome with the blacked out lights. Used VHT Nightshades and highly recommend it.

Did the same on my 97 over a year ago with niteshades, and put a coat of duplicolor clear coat on it and it still looks like I did it yesterday.

Today my jeep didn't want to start so I crawled underneath it and started to bang on the starter and she fired right up so I pulled the starter out went to my auto parts store got a refurbished one came home put it on and tried to start it and nothing, WTF! so I was scratching my head and trying to figure out why it doesn't want to start, a few weeks ago I had done a transmission NSS rebuild so I gave a shot and pulled it out again took it apart and it was gunked up again so cleand it up again with carburetor cleaner stretched out the little springs to make sure that they make good contact greased it up with dielectric grease and put it back together and adjusted it and she fired right up! Damnnn NSS!

Jeep started running funny today, wouldn't run unless I gave it a little gas at idle. Had an intermittent CEL for the downstream O2 sensor. Decided to climb around and check connections and found this:

Somehow that part of the harness had fallen down and got worked over by the front DS until it ripped a wire in half and beat up a couple others. Haven't got a chance to repair it but I'll get under there with a solder iron and some heat-shrink and fix her all up. Cheaper then a new O2 sensor, especially when its not needed
Also went and bought a new fan clutch. Now thats its been over 80 for a couple days I need to start tackling my cooling system as those gremlins are starting to show up.

Replaced the fuel filter about 10 minutes ago. Still runs like poo, and the stereo doesn't work.. It's running rich since I replaced the pump, any ideas guys? I wish I knew more about engines but I used to just steer clear and leave it to my brother while I fixed the rest. Don't have much of a choice but to learn with the jeep

Picked this up today after working all day on my Camaro. Still putting off trans fluid/filter, but getting close to 100K so I need to do it soon. I might install a bigger cooler while the fluid is drained.
Just wheeled it a bit. Brake light came on towards the end of the day and have to push the pedal almost to the floor. All the brake lines look good and fluid is full. Gonna have it coded tomorrow and see what it's reading.

Pulled my front seats out today to clean under them and get the set covers on good and tight. While removing the passenger seat I felt my floor move under my hand, plus I heard that rusty crackling sound. Pulled up the carpet and found rust holes in the floor and mold on the padding, even a few ants living off the mold.
Cleaned it up as best I could, I do plan to patch the holes soon, possibly order a carpet kit for the front since the padding is pretty moldy. Plus I have a little rip on the driver side so new carpet means no more rip.
It is kind of a bummer to throw away my carpet, it is just so clean on the top side, only a few minor stains but you can't hardly tell. I do want to stick with carpet as this is my DD and not a wheeler. Ideas on patching the holes? They are right above the muffler so I may pull that off so I have more room to work with. I figured just cut out the rusted portions and weld in some fresh sheet metal. Possibly coat with some sort of stuff to prevent future rust.
