well it has been awhile since i posted in here. lets see what i have done since last time.
swapped out the abs brake booster to just a brake booster, added a cat and tail pipe to the exhaust, trimmed the rear fenders for more clearance, removed the rear sway bar, replaced the plexiglass sunroof with factory glass. and failed emissions today lol.
also a little
i went with the trader (j/k) to trade his xj for a tj, but wont name names because I'm hella jealous and wish I could get a wrangler in trade for my XJ......

Ok so I drove an old cap into the ovaled hole. Do you think the gaps at the top and bottom are enough to worry about? I have a front aussie and I dont have any spare shafts so I want to know this will hold. What do you guys think? I can get a duralast u joint from auto zone today are they worth a crap???

Day dreamed about 8.8 swap with a locker and adding spacers to front to level it back out. Getting a front bumper built or bought. Deciding on 31x10.50s or 33x12.50 and which wheels, not cutting fenders .

No, that wont hold at all, especially locked, i guarantee it. Those gaps wil let the u joint wobble all over the place and snap the snap ring holding the cap on pretty fast.
Time to upgrade to chromos=D

Chromos ha I wish!! Nope I just need some good ol spares, Ive been wheeling on these since I lifted my jeep way back when. I threw a new ujoint in and its fine in 2wd but somethings still clicking in 4wd (sounds like the ds tho). I put a new manifold on and now I can hear everything lol. If I sling some wire into the ujoint cap can I do it with the shaft and joint assembled or do I have to tear it down again?
