This was after 2 hours with a high pressure hose after spending 3 days at Rimrock. I washed off just the rims, tires and axles. After driving the first 120 miles and getting my guts about shook loose from the wheels and tires being out of balance with the sticky mud all over them, the other 180 miles were a blessing...LOL.

whats your plans for your winch line? I have used the synthetic line i have at least 10-15 times and have had no issue. I am surprised you have broken 2.

also if you had toyos, you would still have 5 good tires! =D

Default What I did today..

I registered to this forum. I have owned a 1998 classic for 8 years now and am starting to do my own maintenance. Thought this site would help me and it has already. Radiator was leakng the other day and took the front end apart. I am at last issue of tranny cooler line and do not have the part to get this to release. My friend has this blue gadget and will continue later. I am at 150,000 approx and this car has never let me down since buying. I should give it some attention now. Next checking on other things I can do while the front end is apart? Water pump, thermostat, serpentine belt, etc??? Thanx Ron

Fixed my right rear tail lights and blinker and reverse lights because they all got smashed from the last wheeling trip... Also greased up my steering and put my front license plate back on.

I changed a flat! Came back after a mini vacation in the Tri Cities and my front passenger tire was off the bead! Les Schwabs hooked it up though and all it well.

I also put on a sticker

I'm seriously considering going back to regular steel winch cable. Really PO'd about snapping 2, now. They were cheapo synthetic ropes but they were both rated at 13K and snapped while pulling my 3.5K Jeep. It turns to mush as soon as it gets wet. I guess that is the difference between good synthetic rope and the cheap stuff. I can't afford to pay $300 bones for the good stuff. AND....if I had Toyos I would have needed to use my winch even more often than I did...LMAO!!

Just keep it dry as best you can. I know that is ridiculous when using something while 4wheeling but, that is what kept mine alive.
