Tom, the new XRC8000 winches are awesome. I love mine...and Smittybilt has an awesome new customer service and parts under warranty program. I called them up trying to "buy" a new winch control plug cover because mine tore off one action packed day up at Walker. They sent me the entire plug and cover assembly for free under warranty that I believe had expired for me...LOL. I was very happy. I do recommend if you aren't already thinking about to sling the steel cable in the weeds and put nylon rope on it. Its much lighter, no steel splinters, no rusting and it works just as good.

Replaced the passenger side hub and decided to keep the 36mm socket I rented.

Buck I bought an CSI 12,000 lb winch off an guy from CL and i had an problem with it he came out to my house and fixed it then Bill broght his jeep over and he fixed his too but mine was free lol He`s an winch tech that buys the show room or damage in freight winches and repairs them and sells them for less. I love it, At naches it pulled me an toyota and another jeep up an big *** hill. Anyways how have you been buck?

When i turn the key i get nothing i still have power in the cab but no cranking or anything, only thing i hear is the fuel pump priming and the starter relay clicking, i checked the battery and cleaned both posts and made sure they were tight, checked the starter relay its good, all fuses in the fuse box good, got the starter tested at autozone and its fine, i replaced it and the battery a couple months ago, checked battery and engine block grounds cleaned them with a wire brush so they are good, i am getting around over 12 volts at the starter so i dont know what is wrong, checked the fuses under the dash and all looked good but i did find this cylinder one hanging that was really warm? i dont know where to go from this point
Also checked the nss and that is fine, even tryed bypassing it and still no luck

I didnt feel like replacing anything... Eventually i broke down and added a switch that linked the two terminals.. The guy who bought it is probably still lost

i replaced the passenger side motor mount and bolted it back on the block. the guy before me only had one bolt holding the mount to the block. swapped to an H.O. radiator cause the fan ate the old one when the mount came off the block. nothing like fixing with upgrades lol.

why one bolt don't hold

Default fixed the radio & picked up a full size spare

Pulled the radio out & fixed the loose antena wire so I have FM now. Also went & picked up a full size spare off of Craigslist. It had a plug in it & I said something about it so the guy just gave it to me.
