My drivers seat frame welds were all broken, needless to say it wasn't very comfy, my dads does upholstery so he fixed it up for me, also did a lot of grinding on my new rear bumper, got a coat of paint on that.

 

I vaccumed and cleaned it out. Getting it ready to hog hunt Sat. night.

 

A little cutting and a little welding and I got my tcase skid installed!

 

Fixed my charging issue, cleaned my K&N, tightened my track bar bolt.

Put Jeep Unit stickers on the wifes 03 GC overland.

Just buttoning up some things before elbe=D


Things to do before elbe-

Wire wheel my floors pans
Paint my floor pans
Bolt down passenger seat
Extend washer bottle pump harness
Check all suspension bolts
Check fluids right before trip

 

whidbeyislandxj, please put me in contact with your dad's upholstery shop. I have the same exact problem you had with the driver's seat frame in my 91 XJ. The really cool thing is I too live on Whidbey Island, up in Oak Harbor, so I am close. I'm not looking for a freebie because I'm on the forum. I will pay for the repairs your has to do to my seat. Thanks.

This week was a pretty good week for my XJ. I got two new tires put on it. I also installed a new synthetic winch rope after my old one snapped during a pull on my last wheeling trip. I ordered a new solenoid plug cap from Smittybilt. I should be getting that in the mail today. My plan is to either get a good driver's seat from another XJ or get mine fixed before the Elbe run the first week of May. I also plan on getting new side view mirrors. those things are really getting hard to find in the scrap yards.

 

Cut and folded rear quarters, just an hour to do both sides. all I need is the rhino liner for both rear quarter panels!

Put my front skid back on and drilled out the holes to 1/2" in the front instead of using the wimpy 5/16" bolts.

 

Put on a new power steering pump and hoses. Also added a catch can to my ccv system. No more oil in my air filter.
