After I went to the meet and greet, me and my buddy went to Walker Valley. This was my first time there and I had a blast. Here are some pics. The only carnage was my hatch, which I backed up into the bank a little too far, bent my rock slider, and tore the heck out of my flares. Still a blast, the wife even noted that I need a locker, and new flares, bad mistake

I found it like that at the end of the day. I noticed a black ring around the inner side of the tire. It stayed there for the most part. I need some clamps for it I guess.

FiveNDime, looks like you guys ran the Upper Main Line trail. How about that hill climb up into the rock pit. Next time you come up, we need to run the Lower Main Line and best trail in Walker. The Expressway. I've run them all without lockers, on 32s and without winching. It's all about taking your time in the tight spots and picking the right line.

But, the lockers do make it much easier. Yeah Bobby made a good point, hey, what is that brown stuff you guys were 4wheeling on? All we had was LOTS and LOTS and LOTS of white stuff. We do all need to get together for a Walker Run really soon. Brandon, you need to bring Matt and the rest of the crew up to Walker so we can 4wheel on some mud, rocks, and water. There won't be no pussing out and parking their Jeeps in the pit. Everybody wheels every trail. I don't believe anybody got more damage than I did last Saturday. Most of them did pop out, though.

Jeepnleo, not sure if I will get back up there soon. My buddy's wife is pregnant so he wont be able to go for a while now and he plans on moving back down where I live in 6 to 8 weeks. I may go up again in 6-7 weeks to help him move. If someone would be down to have a passenger or 2 then I would be down. I wish some other guys would have joined us.
Buck, It was the upper main line. It was difficult in some spots but we took it slow like you said. What is the difficulty of the other trails at Walker compared to this one? My XJ did awesome, better then I actually expected.
I may have to bring my CJ3B back some day but It will most likely be this summer at the earliest.

Fivendime, you can make it through all the trails just the way your XJ is right now. You just might need a little tug every now and then. It was a group effort all day for us to get 7 rigs through those trails at Evans Creek. Only 3 of us had winches and only 4 of us had lockers. We used winches, straps, tree savers, come alongs, and lots of good old push power. It was a challenge and a blast. I had a great time. You need to come back up and run Walker with me. Just let me know when you can. It seems the farther out we plan a run the better chance we have of having a good showing. I can get you through all the trails at Walker without any serious damage to that gorgeous red XJ of yours.

I do highly recommend getting a rear tire carrier, though. It saves on this tree bites to your rear hatch...LOL. Mine has saved me many times while up at Walker.

Next time I go up I may have to get a ride, since I will be helping my friend move so I will have a different rig. You never know maybe I will take the XJ.....I just hate damaging it since thats what my other wheeling rig is for.
