Okay, so I've told you all about the new mods I just completed on my XJ. I was screwed out of going wheeling this last weekend by promising my time to family members on other projects...(it happens). However, this coming Saturday, May 21 is my day. I am going to Walker to go wheeling all day long! I will be in the pit at 9am to air down and lock in. Anybody who wants to meet me there post up. If any of you guys want to come from out of the local area I could meet you at the Denny's on College Way (right off of I-5). Then, I could lead you out to Walker. The trails are just 15 minutes from the freeway exit. Just take exit 227 from I-5. Post up if interested.
Well, if you're going to Walker I may see you there. How many Cherokees in your group?
I didn't know we had NAXJA guys here in the local area.
I gave NAXJA a try but, the top level guys from out of Washington state didn't make me feel very welcome so I stuck with CherokeeForum. There were guys that would grill newbies for asking entry level questions and if you were on the forum but not paying dues you really got treated badly. I was on CF for almost a year before I started being a paying member and the guys all made me feel very welcome. I've wheeled at a couple events with some of the Wa. state NAXJA guys and they all seemed nice enough.
I'd really like to have a 4wheeling trip up here at Walker Valley that drew as many XJs as the one we had down in Elbe, from the CherokeeForum. I bet I must have counted 30 or more XJs up there that day. I sure wish we could have gotten a group shot. It ended up being a huge Charlie Foxtrot and we all got separated and split up into several groups but i think everybody had a good a time. I know I did and I really can't wait to go back and take on the Busy Wild.
Just bumping this invite back to the top so everybody can see it again. The weather is looking to be perfect for a wheeling trip this weekend. It's been sunny the past few days but, is supposed to start raining tomorrow (Saturday) morning. Rain or shine Walker is fun....usually a bit more fun when it is wet. I will be there in the pit (parking lot) at Walker to air down and lock in at 9:00am. I will be monitoring CB channel 22. My cell number is (360)929-5518. Well I sure hope I run into somebody up at Walker tomorrow. It's going to be a perfect day for a wheeling trip. Maybe the lack of people posting up will make it even better for a small group. It's looking like we will be the only ones there with the trails all to ourselves.
