Basically, to sum up my little speech, the best tool to have out their is your head. Just make sure you are prepared mentally for any challenges you might face. And remember, we are there to help!

x2 on the rear leaf springs and cross member. Your track bar, fixed LCAs and coils look good tho. Except for the few stock-ish XJs that may (or may not) be coming Im one of the smaller jeeps going on this trip and your only a little smaller than me, Im sure someone will pull you through.

I Live in Lake Stevens right by JAYs Market, ive owned a couple built yotas and wheeled the s**t out of them, just have never been within ten feet of a jeep until the other day when i bought mine. Im pretty sure the leafs that are on there are a bastard pack should i try amd salvage them with clips or just get a whole new set up? and what you mean "FIXED LCA's"? and which cross member is bent? and ya i just thought 30" tires might be a lil small, my last yoat was on 33s and it went anywhere and everywhere. Thanks for all the help guys.

Fixed LCA's are your lower control arms. "fixed" means they are a set length and non adjustable. And he was talkin about the crossmember that holds your transfer case up

I would start over on the leaf springs.and the cross memeber is the one that holds the transfer case and tranny up....And fixed LCO are lower control arms that are not the adjustable ones.( my bastered pack is stock xj springs with a dakota main leaf with eye loops cut off and 2 adda leafs..so stock-dakota-adda-stock-adda-stock-stock)I just started mixing but there is alot of different combo just google it...And if you have any more questions or need any help just let me know.I do have a welder if you need any thing welded.

A Fixed Lower Control Arm as opposed to adjustable ones (I have fixed lowers too), I would just throw some new clips on your leafs til you build/buy some better spring packs. It looks like you have a serious add a leaf in there or a bastard pack. Your transmission/tcase crossmember looks like it took one hell of a hit but if its solid roll with it and make sure you get some tow points.I want to point out that this will be my first trip to Walker, I expect to get at least one new dent, possibly break some glass and maybe worse but it will be fun and thats why we shed blood, sweat and cash on our toys right?

You said it brotha. I think it will be fine with clips and tow points. But lets not kid our selves it does have issues or i guess you could call it character? When you buy a wheeler for $1400 you get what you paid for lol. I dont have a high lift jack or probably half the tools i would need but jeeps are dependable on the trail right?

All jeeps brake the only question is when and what.I carry spare parts like starter, alternator, plugs, wires, feul pump, injectors, and ALL relays and sesors, leaf springs, long arms, locker for dana 30,carriers,axle shafts, unit bearing(hubs)pullys, belts, transfercase, drive lines, coolant reservoir, cap rotor, valve stems, motor mounts, trac bar, drag link tie rod, ball joints, tie rod ends,u joints, power steering pump, gear box, brake lines, calipers, rotors, tranny mount, fluids, diff covers and there is more thats all off the top of my head. It's always good to bring a few spare parts.I seem to brake when I go wheeling but carry allot of stuff so I can keep wheeling.

What would be the TOP 5 things on your list of spare parts to bring (on average most crucial) and what would be on your TOP 5 List of tools?

Only time and use will tell if its dependable or not. Do you have the means to get it home if it breaks? We can get you to the pavement if it cant be fixed on the trail but after that you would need a trailer etc.

I would say fix it before you go.(your leaf spring bolts are probly bent real bad or broken witch can let your rear axle move and brake other stuff)It is allot easier to fix it at home then on the trail. If it dont look right fix it..or know how to fix it and bring that spare part.It just makes it a better day on the trail.I just hate it when people say I thought that was going to brake because it was already brakeing or it looked like it was ready to brake. Its going to happen but if we can help prevent it its allot easier later(But I will help if some one brakes even if your not wheeling with me).just my 2 cents..
