I'm still getting a popping noise up front when I trun the tires to the right after I replaced the steering gear box everything is torque down to specs and the tie rod ends are in good shape what could make it pop still

Or the frame mount for the trackbar.

 

Have you ever checked or had somebody who knows what to look for, check your Balljoints for being worn out?

If all is good in the steering componants as you say. then, I, like the others, would suspect the Track Bar and/or it's componants..

 

I'm having the same problem and I have come to the conclusion that it's the frame!!

 

Could possibly be a hub or axle ujoints too or control arm bushings.

 

So just for kicks I unbolted the track bar mount and noticed the upper bolt holes have enlarged to an oblong shape. So I drilled the holes in the bracket and frame out to 5/8" and fit in some 5/8 grade bolts, nuts and lock washer. I also replaced the bolts on the underside of the bracket. I then tightened the hell out of it, and wham!! No more noise !!

 

Always the first thing to check is the frame mount, axle mount, then bushings
