Spin the yolk on the axle. Both shafts turn forward, posi. One goes forward, one goes backwards, not posi.

It is a posi bolth spin the same way also here a pic of the tag and axel

Sweet man, that L on the tag definitely tells me its a Trac loc. Good score! That turning of the yolk and seeing if both shafts turn the same direction is good to check any axle to see if its posi.

It is a posi? 75-140 syn is what they call out from factory. I use 75-140 royal purple full syn with a Kendall posi additive. Lookin good!

ya thats what i ended up gettin i was lookin at the royal purple but they didnt have the right kind i went with some mobile 1 stuff is perty expensive lol

It seemed like any 75-140 was expensive for some reason. Even the cheap crap was like 10 bucks a quart.

The tag on the 8.8 says 388 u think that's the gears in it?

No, It should be 355, 373, or 4.10. Possibly 307 if its from a car. Ive never seen 388. It is an exploder axle?
