Nope, I was a dummy and I didn't post the price for the TC, Trannys and axles. This is the transfer case out of the 96 Cherokee Country. I will be putting the older 91 NP231 into the new Jeep as it has a SYE on it already. After doing some research I just found out the 91 and 96 NP231s are exactly the same. Both have the "better" 23 spline input shaft. HOLY COW!! I was just doing some looking around and these things go for $1000-$1200 rebuilt and $200-$300 used . This thing is bone stock and in really good shape. I really don't think this Jeep had ever been driven offroad. $200 and it's all yours. We could even arrange to meet somewhere halfway between us for the exchange so neither of us have to make the 2 hour full trip. Let me know if you still want it.

Just popped this pic of little white sitting in my parking spot at work. It sure is good to see it out of the garage and driveable. It's almost a shame to start cutting this pretty little Jeep up to make a wheeling beast out of it......almost.....

Okay guy, I have a couple of parts to add to the list of my, Project Great White build fund, items for sale:

1.) 2 AW-4 Automatic Transmissions complete with torque converter, kickdown linkage and wiring harness $150 each.

2.) 1 NP231 transfer case $200. (Barns has first dibbs on this)

3.) 1 ChryCo 8.25 27 spline $200 or best REASONABLE offer. (Good bolt in starter upgrade for anybody who has a D "turdy" 5)

4.) 1 Pair of 91 Cherokee Laredo front seats (gray) $70. (I will throw the backseat in for free)

Ask about any other parts you want or need from a 91 Cherokee. (360)929-5518. Text anytime!!

Wow, what a difference a CF and Craigslist ad makes. So, far my old Rusty's 4.5" lift coils and my old RC X-Flex front control arms are sold.

Okay so adding to the list of things for sale is the following:

1.) The 23 spline input shaft, stock output shaft NP231 transfer case out of my 96 XJ. The first $200 or best reareasonable offer takes it home.

2.) The Rusty's Offroad 4.5" lift front coild springs off my old Jeep. These things have served me well and they flex and ride great! The first $60 takes them home.

No new progress on little white this weekend. I did, however, make a lot of progress removing suspension and armor from my old Jeep. I'm kind of at a stand still as far as forward motion on Great white until I get the rebuild kit and get my D44 axle rebuilt and modified the way I want it for GW. A new set of tires and shocks would be good to have before putting it all together, too. Plus, I just heard rumor that my deployment may be back on for beginning this summer. If I'm going to be headed out on deployment in the next couple of months, I'd prefer to wait, to do anymore to Great White, until I get home. That way my wife and kids can drive the little white Jeep if they need to and it's stock so no reliability issues.

That's cool. I'm still in high school and I talked to a army recruiter about becoming an Mp. He told me if I enlist before graduation he can get me into a k9 handler job and stuff but only if I enlist before June when I graduate... What do you think about that? They also said they could garantee that I would be an mp.

You do know what a 'k9 handler' does, right?

Given the low rank that you'd be enlisting as, there is a very good chance you'd be stuck with third shift dog duty. Picking up poop, feeding them and walking them. They get walked one at a time because the dogs don't do well together. That becomes time consuming when it is freezing cold outside.

Sounds exciting, right?

The stuff they promise you does exist but it doesn't exist until you get rank within your unit and a job position opens up within that unit. The vast majority of people who enlist will never do what is shown on those fancy TV ads or what is promised to them by recruiters.

But hey, if you don't mind picking up poop for a couple years then go for it. Lol

I should also add that the benefit package for joining is getting crappier and crappier all the time. Tuition assistance was suspended and tricare isn't as good as it used to be. The VA is flooded with patients and under staffed.

I think that sounds like a pretty good deal. Being an MP that handles Military Working Dogs seems like it would be a very cool job. Like the Nay Sayer said, some recruiters will promise you the moon. However, I've learned as long as you get all "promises" in writing, they must deliver. If it says you will get a certain job and a certain school on you enlistment contract, in writing, it is binding.
