Default Oregon DEQ

I'm new to oregon and I need to know if I have to take my 1988 through DEQ. It is straight piped with a cherry bomb or something. It was already done when I bought it. Wit that being said I know it won't pass. If it does have to go through is there ways around it?

Short answer, only in PDX area.

The rest of Oregon is still fairly DEQ-free.

(this is off the top of my head, YMMV)
