klamath falls is nice, little far from the beach tho, but i enjoyed ashland when i lived there. still a little ways from the beach, but an awesome place to kick it.
nice ski area up mt.ashland, great view of mt.shasta.
awesome biking trails. great people, food and atmosphere.
i'm sure there's lots of wheeling up tolman creek road.

If you can pass in cali you will pass anywhere. I love Washington cause if it doesn't pass you only have to spend $150 in repairs vs the $400 cali required for repairs years ago when I left.
