I'm thinking about moving to Eugene area. If there's good wheeling fairly close. I'm in WA right now and its everywhere. Not sure I could give it up.

I knew it used to be, heard they were opening up something, maybe wrong wouldnt be the first time. I do wish Clackamas County would pull there Heads out and allow some legal designated trails up there but unfortunately the Granola eaters would never allow it.

Its not the aholes in priuses that are stopping the wheeling up there. Its all the drunken butt lickers that go up and go off trail. Go around gates. Screw with logging equipment. Ditch garbage and stolen ish up there.
And what keeps the trails closed is all the people who go up and go around the tank traps and rip it up. Cool thing is the trail cameras they have set up. They get a plate number and show up too your house with a $740 ticket.

Looking at the map it looks like the same areas that I had always been told were illegal out above Promitory Park, now Im confused doesnt look near 26 at all. I guess from West side browns would be closer and likely better but for eastsiders it might be something to look into once its open again that is the Facebook page for it says its not open for the season yet.

still aint worth the trip to me for 2 under a mile trails.
i just dont understand why browns camp it such a "far" drive for people.
i live in vancouver and it takes my around an hour to get there.

Its 22 miles to LaDee Flats for me and 59 to Browns so think of it like going to Battleground for you. Im not putting Browns down just pointing out a closer option for someone, plus with enough support/interest those 2 under a mile trails might turn into more someday. More choices is good right?
