Let me ammend that statement, I USUALLY dislike wheeling in groups. Im paranoid or something cause I feel plotting going on somewhere...

also i have been runnin stock driveshafts (stock front, and a grand cherokee rear, converted to u-joint style connection) with a spare, and never have broken a shaft. now i have shattered a few u-joints, but i carry a trial vice and spare u-joints, just incase. i think you are more likely to break one of the dana 30 shafts, mainly the short drivers side shaft, then the front driveshaft. i am pretty sure the tilted wheelin crew each carry a spare shaft, and i carry a spare for each side.

Wade, the group of guys going on this run are a really smart but, fun bunch. We crawl the trails for the most part but, on the easy parts we tend to go a little faster to keep it fun....and we play around in the mud, on the rocks and the rock pits in between trails. Nobody gets hurt and the carnage is kept to a minimum. The best part is that they have all built their own Jeeps. There is a wealth of knowledge and a wealth of spare XJ parts that so far I've seen everybody is always willing to share. I personally carry a spare set of shafts with hubs attached for the D30 and a front XJ DS. This makes broken front shaft or u-joint or a tacoed front or rear DS a 20 minute trail fix. You are welcome to my help or spare parts anytime if needed to get you home. I personally get a little heavy on the skinny pedal in the snow sometimes, but only when it is absolutely necessary...or screwing around in a desserted parking lot...lol. I have a feeling this run is going to be a blast!!
