Yeah to the OP junkyards and craigslist are your friends if you want cheap. There were 2 lifted XJ's at the pick-n-pull near me recently, someone got the lift parts off one pretty quick but the other was still there last week. I'm sure you could score those parts under $100, just gotta put in a little work to get em...
Yeah, I kinda wish I had just to see what my XJ could do stock... but I have the lift just about done, so oh well, no turning back now!

well this was way long ago but all of you will be happy to here that i am finally up to 6 inch lift (short arm still sadly) now saving for bigger tires, i want 33 10.50's. but truly addicted to my jeep and i am spending a lot of hard earned money on it (not regretting any) just thanks for the help i thinbk i did most of it the right way, no junkyard parts mostly craigslist lol but hope to see y'all out on the trails been running them often lately. so thanks again this forum has been a huge help
