I need gears done on my Dana 30HP. I have 3.07 and need to go to 3.55, I already have a matching set of ring and pinion gears. I will purchase a bearing kit for it in the next day or two. Anyone who has some gear knowledge... Please message me with a quote on how much you will charge.

 

Why didn't you just go and get a d30 out of a 4.0l auto at the junk yard? All have 3.55 and would have been a direct swap and save ya some cash and time

 

Because my D30 HP has all new carrier bearings, Inner bearings, seals... I also have the Ring and Pinion gear's and shims already. I also dont want to have an alignment done.

 

Alignment can be done with a tape, gears are nowhere near as cheap... I'm spending $300 just to have the carrier and pinion installed in my cleaned out axles, I'm doing all other work. Let alone the money the gears cost + install kits lol.

George the jeep guy in kent / covington. Thing is, I already had the ring and pinon, master install kit with near seals and bearings. His gear guy is charging me $275 for just labor.

 

That's a really good deal... Cheapest I found here is $300 for setting gears, I'm bringing them empty tubes, and assembled lockers and carriers.
I'm also reinstalling the shafts, hubs, seal etc...

 

Sounds like a good deal, I already have everything I need for the gears, it's all sitting in my office just waiting for someone to install them.
