Hello everyone,
I am in the market for tires and I am settling on Kumho KL71's. I currently have some TSL Super Swampers that are ready to be changed out. I thought they did pretty good over the weekend(all though they are worn out) in the snow at Bon Jon Pass in the Olympic National Forest. So my question is has anyone had experience with these tires or tires that perform well in the road/snow/mudd conditions because those are the three main surfaces that they will see. Thanks in advance and I am looking to buy tires in the next 3-4 months.

after some research in the advanced forum we found the dura track tire to be ideal . i haven't seen the kl71 used much. there pricey and kumo is kinda a off brand. if your going to submit your tires to rough conditions you want to invest in a known performer
maybe look on Google see what comes up. this wasn't one of the tires i investigated. on that thread.

Plenty of tires to look at. A couple of people run those KL71's without issue. At $180 a tire they are not terribly priced in a 33x12.50 either. In that size I personally wouldn't get a GY Duratrac, but to each his own on that one. Take a look at Cooper STT's and MT/R's as well.

I have used all of the tires mentioned above on my jeeps (and other vehicles) and the kuhmo MT (KL71) is an exceptional tire! Snow, ice, mud, rocks, whatever...Just love them. Coopers are good too, but louder than the KL71. I would go with the kuhmo. I would think you could get at least 50K out of them if you rotate them religiously...unless you are a burnout king or have lockers installed then you might not get that many miles. Just my .02
