i want toooooooooo
switch my rig to the aw4 trans.
i have a 5-speed any one willing to trade 5 speed for a auto set up?
i still need to pull it out but i am waiting to see what kind of options i can come up with.
my 1st and reverse gear both work well i haven't had any nasty grinding action like i hear some of the rigs get .
how much $ for a trans and all the needed jaz to go auto thanks .

I have an aw4 in my parts jeep. I think you need a wire harness, an auto driveline, tcu, shift housing, flexplate/flywheel.
I have it all in the parts jeep except the driveline. Im kinda far away tho! I want to sell it probably, dont really need the manual trans.
What year is your jeep? if its 90 and below my tranny will work, 91 and newer it wont. Stupid output shaft!

my rig is an 1989 with a 4.0
i'm just trying to track every thing down / who ever gets back to me the soonest. if possible we could always meet. '

I read i need the trans wiring harness and tcu. Dose it have that as well?
If yku coumd write up a small list of the parts would be handy so i know ahead of time wgat other nick knacks i will need to conjure up.
I am also after another tcase as well.

Are there any shift kits worth installing to the aw4? And how about a good place to rebuild one? Figure its gonna be in for the longterm
