heres the image. if you are coming from the tacoma area you have the 2 black exits before the fairgrouds. these put you on top of the hill near the mall if you are coming from sumner/other areas round that then you can use the blue exit to also get you near the mall and not the fairgrounds

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner. Considering where everyone is coming from it would be easiest for us all to meet in Elbe. I always head down the Orting valley to get there so I wont even be going through Puyallup.
My issue with going the same day as the Snow Jam is that unless we leave before them we will probably get stuck behind their groups. Also if we definitely have no option of running the trails backwards. If they are doing a poker run that will make for a lot of stopping points where large groups will be waiting to get cards for their hand. Unless we want to join them I think we need to pick a better day so we can enjoy Elbe at our own pace.

The Snow Jam flyer says first rig out at 8:00am leaving from the campground. I'm assuming the campground and parking area for trailors is the same. It is in most ORV areas...lol...except for Evans that is. Anyhoo....So Branden are you thinking of being there to get a parking spot at 7:00am? 6:00am? I'm going to cancel the meeting for breakfast thing as People are coming from more directions than I first thought. It will actually be much easier for me to drive down and spend the night at my folks' place in Winlock Friday night and just leave from there Saturday morning heading straight out Hwy. 12. It's only a 1 hour drive for me from there. Better than a 4+ hour drive all the way from Oak Harbor. My Jeep is no Porche. 70-75mph is about all it does comfortably on the road...lol. I will plan on being in the Elbe Hills parking are at 7:00am. The maps I've read are a little confusing. I do need directions from somebody in the know from SR 706 to the parking are. All I know is there will be a road to the left 6 miles east of Elbe on SR 706 then I take my 2nd left from that road into the campground. Some road names would help a lot. So, guys coming from common areas hook up so you don't have to travel alone and we can all meet up in the Elbe Hills parking area/campground area betwee 7:00am and 8:00am. How does that sound to everybody?

You just tell me where to meet you in Elbe, the town, and I will be there. About the only landmark I remember in Elbe is the Hobo Inn...lol...that hotel made of old railroad cars. That town is tiny though. I can be there at 6:45ish easily. Earlier if it works better for you...and meet you anywhere in town.
i spoke with Brian via text mesaging today and me and him are planning on being at the campground/parking area at 7am. that should give us enough time to group and head out before too many people show up for the snow jam. i will most likely be unloading my jeep and leaving my truck and trailer at the grainge hall along the highway just outside of Elbe around 6:30am

If for whatever reason any of you guys can't make it to the Elbe Hills campground by 7:00am, Branden and I will both be monitoring CB channel 33 and my cell phone number is (360)929-5518. Call or text me and I will tell you how to get wherever we are. Please try to get there by 7 so we can all head out to the trails together and before the Snow Jam guys get there. LOL...if they stick to the forest acess roads like Tim was saying we wont have to worry about them holding us up at all.
