Default Fender Flares and Mud Flap Laws

Im going to be picking up a Jeep XJ today and im just wonder what the fender flare laws and mud flap laws are in oregon. In not trying to get a stupid ticket for some bull **** like that. Any info would be great.

if its anything like WA, mudflaps are required past the centerline of the rear axle, not sure on flares.

They wont pull you over unless your doing something wrong I drove from pendelton oregon through portland and up to olympia saw a bunch of cops and never got stopped

Well my friend who has a Toyota 4runner lifted 8inches on 36's got pulled over for no mud flaps. That was all she got wrote up for so I think it just depends. But thanks

Im pretty sure in Washington its 3" of tread can stick out of the fender flare max, and the mud flaps have to cover the full width of the tread down to the center of the axle or centerline of the tire, so basically half of your tire from the top down. I would imagine if you stuck with something like that you would be just fine.

Thanks man. Well i didnt get the jeep today, had a bad exhaust and valve leaking and the reverse was kinda ****ed but hopefully looking at some tomorrow.

Well let me put it this way I was wheeling on private property(city property turned into private I didnt know) and a city cop and state patrol cop pulled me out and told me that I was trespassing and that was all they said was wrong. She must havve done something small so the cop pulled her over to see if there was more the mud flaps were jest a reason to pull her over my roommate is an intern cop and he say they pull all trucks and suv's over on party night to look for drunk drivers (I live in a college town) even non lifted vehicles "need mudflaps".
