I'm still going. I've seen enough of Elbe over the last few months.

Just wanted to thank everyone for coming out. That was one of the largest XJ runs I have been on....12 Cherokees....too bad there was so much snow, we probably would have been able to cover a lot more ground. But I had a lot of fun. Interesting side note, GPS info: Total Miles Traveled= 7.26 miles
Total Time= 8.5 hours
Total Moving Time= 1.5 hours
That GPS info includes only time spent at Evans, doesn't include the drive up there, prep time or the drive back home. According to the GPS we did a lot while not moving...LOL. I had fun, hope everyone else had fun and it was great to meet everyone.

well this run was.....interesting to say the least. we started around 9:15 with 12 cherokees at the begining of the 311 at the main parking lot. there was fresh powder on the ground and we were the only tracks up there. we got through 311A with ease in under probly 30 minutes with no trouble. we then started up 311B. i took the lead on this half. we got about halfway through and reached a big rutted out hole that a few people had trouble on. after this we headed up the trail to the top. me and the two cherokees behind me made it up with no issue. the hill was slick and full of snow and a few big rocks. after about an hour and a half we were all up to the top. so about 2 hours and we made it through the entire 311 trail. this is where the fun began... it took us another 6 or so hours just to get back to the main parking lot.... many jeeps were having trouble getting stuck about every 10 feet. we had one jeep lose both his rear beads at the same time and didnt have a spare (was running 5x5.5 H1 wheels with military tires) and couldnt reset the bead for the life of them. we ran into a stock tj having trouble and took us another few hours to get him out and headed back to his home where he should have stayed to begin with. all in all it was an alright trip. met some new people and got to get the jeep out. i only got a few pictures because most of our time was spent on the road.

fresh powder on the way up

last hill on top of 311B

coming up last hill

waiting at the top of 311B

the girlfriend drove better than the toyotas and stock jeeps we passed... and pulled a few people out!

Yup, it was an interesting day. The snow conditions on the service roads were less than ideal. Almost everyone in the group got stuck at least once. We probably would have been better off going back down the 311. It was a fun day anyways. It's always good to meet new XJ drivers and check out new rigs. Can't wait for the next Evans snow run.

Damn i missed this run But I did get my **** running saturday. Now i gotta get an few other things worked out. Cool to see you girl driving Brandon. We`ll have to plan an run later in the the year for our women to drive. It doesn`t surprise me that popcan didn`t show. lol He doesn`t like Snow wheelin at Evans. lol. But it look like he had an good turn out at Elbe. I think it`s very cool that We`re getting alot more XJ`ers out on these Runs.
