Went to Elbe this weekend and didn't see anyone checking for passes. And although I agree with em checking for alcohol the full size rig restrictions are bs. Any time you start separating groups and allowing each other to be picked off one by one the easier it is for them to take it all away. And if anything seems to destroy trails it's those tube chassis rigs running 40" -50"+ tires and making holes deep enough to swallow a house, but at the same time I would never go and try to take away from someone else because I don't agree with them. drinking and wheeling is still drinking and driving. doesn't matter if it's on the road or trail. it's still dangerous and unnecessary, leave that for the camp fire at the end of the ride.
and that also leads to trail destruction and trail braiding.
and yeah, i hate those people too.

Im the guy who got the 203$ ticket at Tahuya. Here's the deal I found. The guy at Tahuya was in a UN-MARKED rig and pinned me on a dead end spot. My advice is... Don't go without a pass! Also, Don't draw attention to yourself by driving crazy in the camps, trailheads, or parking lots. The DNR police will leave you alone if your pass is not in the window UNLESS you draw attention to yourself. And yah... DON'T DRINK ON THE TRAILS! Its not worth the FAT ticket you will get or possibly your car impounded and a ride to jail.

That sticker kicks ***
. I really don't mind helping fund trails and such it's just that they need to make one pass for all, by the time I'm done with all my "outdoor activities" I seem to have about 5 passes in my vehicle and then like the discover pass is only good for one vehicle when towing the other
. Well that and make sure that my funds go to where they should go.

up here we have an organization that lobby's for our sport. we pay them 35 bux a year however, it is optional, but all responsible wheelers pay it anyways.
if you belong to a club that is part of this organization, your membership is only like 15 bux.
it's not a pass to wheel, cause up here you don't need one, but it's to help fund the organization to lobby in helping to keep our trails open for us to enjoy.
this organization is non-profit and are all volunteers.
TREAD LIGHTLY everyone.
