Seriously, by the pics and the write up it seems like a POS sitting on a nice set of axles....AND one of the axles has a broken shaft. Just look it over really good for the basics needed for wheeling. If the drivetrain and suspension is solid, I'd jump on it for that price. I'd almost pay the $1550 just for the ford axles with the brackets already welded on for the XJ. I'd definitely bolt them into my Jeep. The rest of that Jeep looks pretty used up. Just my $.02 to do with as you will.
I honestly wouldnt pay 1500 for it. And if the rear 9" is the small bore then it isnt worth anything. The only good rear 9" is the big bore with larger spindles. It wouldnt be bad for $1000 and stayed on the trails. Wouldnt have to worry about denting it haha

The only real reason I wanted it was for the front 44 and maybe the long arm setup if it had it. Then part the rest out and scrap it at the junk yard for 100$
Naw im usually looking for dana 60s lol but i agree you can build a 30 til the cows come home but in the end its still a 30 and you will save a ton of money just swappin in a stock 44. Mine is stock besides alloy xjoints for ujoints and i beat on it with my 35s and have never broke a shaft or blown a hub
