97 tj ax15 and bell housing in a xj

will a ax15 and bell housing out of a 97 tj fit in a 92 xj

It may fit til you go to mount a tcase. TJ cases are flat, XJ cases are slightly clocked so the front axle is dropped.

Do you now if the parts a the same cause I want to make my slave to a external. Cause the guy wants $200.00 for the bell housing and the ax15

i believe the trans and bell housing are the same.
the tj transfer is drilled differently..
$200 bucks aint bad!
