Ok, my son and I just acquired a 93 gc limited for parts for his 93 gc. I want to take those nice leather comfy power seats out and put them in my 96 xj. Anyone know if there is a stock wiring tap already on the xj or will I have to make a connection to the fuse block. Also, could it be possibloe that the bolt holes will match?
thanks

the laredos had power seats so the wiring could potentialy be there under the carpet I have had several vehicles with manual seats and when i took the seats out there was a harness there. Good luck with the swap.

Leather was an option in just about every year of the XJ....earlier models you found them on the Limiteds, then the Country's, and then back to the Limited's again on the later models.
The wiring might be there.....It would be an issue of if the colors match up between the two Jeeps (meaning if the same green wire does the same thing on the XJ as it would in the ZJ).
If you're going to pull the seats, pull the brackets with them too. I'm pretty sure you'll need them to bolt up, as I dont think ZJ seats will bolt right up to XJ seat brackets (but I could be wrong).
