I just re-read post #7 in this thread.....sometimes things are slow to click for me.

FWIW, the CLR website, in the FAQ section IIRC, specifically states "DO NOT USE CLR IN A AUTOMOTIVE COOLING SYSTEM"......, user be ware.

+1 to this. I'm currently having some running temp issues, but it seems a common theme during warm weather and I see about 8 threads in the most recent three pages.

Question:
Recommendations for reliable temp gauges?

When winter hits, the most common threads will be "my heater isn't warm".

Yep. Maybe just make it one big cooling system thread. Step by step check these things for running hot. Same for little/no heat?

Just a thought. No recommendations on replacement temp gauges?

cabin heat?
for cabin heating is the controls, fan, ducts and heater core.

replacement guage?
you could easily add one, but replacing the OE in the pod... I'm not familiar, sorry.

No worries. Found this link. Good info plus pictures. Good place to start when chasing an over heating problem: http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/..._Diagnosis.htm

May be worth OP putting in original post of this thread.

Hope this helps someone else
