FWIW, the CLR website, in the FAQ section IIRC, specifically states "DO NOT USE CLR IN A AUTOMOTIVE COOLING SYSTEM"......

Yep. Maybe just make it one big cooling system thread. Step by step check these things for running hot. Same for little/no heat?
Just a thought. No recommendations on replacement temp gauges?

for cabin heating is the controls, fan, ducts and heater core.
replacement guage?
you could easily add one, but replacing the OE in the pod... I'm not familiar, sorry.
