YJ Rear Brake Lines
I just want to make sure, when people say to use YJ rear brake lines, they are talking about the emergency brake cables that come down the center of the transmission tunnel, correct? I have a 93 XJ that I'm going to be installing 2.5 inch Old Man Emu rear lift springs on. Thanks for any info.

It's not that I want longer e-brake lines, I'm just not sure what "YJ rear brake lines" that I've read people recommend using when lifting an XJ, rather than purchasing extended brake lines. Which brake lines should I replace?

Ok, you want to go to your local parts store and ask for 95 YJ softlines (hydraulic hoses) They will extend your brakelines to where they need to be.

Dont waste your money on the YJ lines they give you what 2 inches and cost like 35 bucks. I got rear brakes lines from Rough Country for 33 bucks shipped and they are 20 inches long. 2 inches longer than YJ and 4in longer than XJ also cheaper. Jason can be found on NAXJA under Grimus99XJ. Maybe I should send him a PM over there and see if he can join your vendor list.

I paid $16.99 for my yj hose a couple years ago.
just a week ago I paid the same for a dodge dakota rear brake hose as well. Direct bolt in and plenty long

Well at auto zone the rear brake hose was 34.99 for a 95 wrangler. That was about two weeks ago.

Not to jack this post, but which lines should I get for a 4.5" front and 5" rear lift? I never did any lines with my 3" lift and didn't have any problems.

For that much lift I don't think you can use anything from the regular parts store unless you use Dakota lines. They may be long enough. PM lowrange2 and ask which lines he used on his 4.5" long arm lift.
