Arrow Yet Another Noise.......

Alright i now have another noise coming from the front end some where it almost sounds like a beer bottle rolling sround on the floorboard and it only makes this noise at 15mph and above.....I jacked up the rear of the Jeep and spun the tires to confirm it was coming from the the front......I just replaced the front driveshaft u-joint's about a month ago so that shouldnt be the culprit.....I also jacked up the front and spun the tires but it didnt make the noise at all so now im lost anybody have an idea on what it could be?!?!?!

Thank's in advance......

Check the front unit bearings. Some call the hub bearings.

Forgot to add i just replaced both sides.....

After looking at it and hearing it it's starting to sound like maybe a pinion seal in the front it does leak diff. fluid tho and make noise so im goin to change that seal tomm. and see if that helps.......

If the pinion seal's leaking it's probably the pinion bearings you're hearing. Check those and the carrier bearings.JMO

I was thinking of taking the front driveshaft out but i forgot that the yoke still moves so that wouldnt do anything......

Now the seal and the bearings come together right like it's all one peice?!?!?!

Did you replace the Cardan joint in the front driveshaft? I replaced mine before it was bad so I don't know what they sound like when they go bad, but I wonder if it could be that?

The Cardon joint is that funky joint in your front driveshaft. They wear out as well. Maybe it fixed itself!

Does the noise change when you're on the gas/off the gas, coast then repeat while driving? If so that points to the pinion bearings having play in them. JMO
