Yellow and pink wire harness under dashboard

Default Yellow and pink wire harness under dashboard
I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee and I found this connector under the passenger side dashboard, it’s on the drivers side too. My Cherokee has power locks and windows if that matters. Could this connection be for the courtesy lights? Any information would be helpful. Thanks

Yes sir.
The courtesy lights would mount to a little unpainted bar on each underside of the dash.
