Default Yellow Mystery Wires

Hi, wondering if anybody knows by chance what these two yellow wires are for that are underneath the drivers floor mat. I had pulled the rug out and was looking for broken wires, and came across these two which had been broken and oxidized
together to essentially become a four way wire connection. I couldn't tell which halves went with which halves because the oxidation to the copper was so bad. I cut them apart and capped them, and haven't noticed anything not working. Wondering if anybody has any ideas? Thanks!

If they go to the radio, it could be the continuous 12v signal. It basically gives power to the radio when the car is off. If your radio has a clock and no internal battery, the clock will be reset, or wrong. Maybe try to see if it has power with a multimeter.

Wire nuts aren't really suitable for mobile applications. They vibrate loose. The probably won't burn down your Jeep, but then again, if you havn't seen a fuse on those lines...

Maybe throw some tape on them so they can't move, or better, double the tip of the wire over inside heat shrink tube.

Hey, yeah...thanks for the warning. It was just a temporary fix. They are cut blunt, taped, wrapped with more tape, and now inside a plastic loom for the time being.

No, I never did. Left them disconnected but ends are safely covered, and now in a plastic loom.
