Yeah, Another idol question
I did a fair amount of searching before posting and have come up
with squat,
Now I finally got my front end put back together on my 89
And me and my dad took it for a drive around Orlando
It was running just fine and then after about 2 miles
we stoped at a red light... and noticed it was idling really rough
and then out of know where.. it died right when the light turned green
Fired it back up, and kept going.
It wanted to do this at every stop we made
And ide have to put it in N and give it fuel
Now I THOUGHT i could hear a hissing sound from the engine
compartment but its hard to tell over my 4.0s exhaust leak.
could it be a vacuum issue?
Thx in advance.

x2 on the vac line whistle thing.
a good way to check is w/ some carb cleaner sprayed at the base of the vac lines.
TRY THIS: get up to speed, and turn the fan on the floor/defrost and put the speed on like 2 or 3... or 4, it doesnt matter. now, on level ground, put your hand by the floor vent and give it gas. does the air flow to the floor cut out and the defrost vent start blowing harder? if yes, then you have a vac leak. it is probably moree common than a jeep w/ mud on it... somehow... either way, i have this same issue and plan on addressing it as soon as weather is a little nicer. def not his w/e though. they are calling for like 10" of some heavy snow for tomorrow... ****in bring it on!
