Default XJ to ZJ Alternator upgrade

I searched a few forums but my year XJ (94) doesn't seem to be covered. I have the chance to get a 1996 ZJ (grand Cherokee) alternator from a friend for free and was wondering what amps were offered that year in a 4.0 and if it will fit mine with the standard mods (grinding the bracket) thx...Tj

Default 90 Amp

With the 4.0 in 96 a 90 AMP was the only option.

Is the ZJ a 4.0L or V8?

hmm i think a 96 isnt really much of an upgrade unless its a late model.... if your looking for the 136 amp then it needs to be a V8 GC or else its the same i believe....... anyways look below!
