Default XJ won't start... HELP!

Went out yesterday to Mudfest. Checked out everything before I left and she ran great. Drove home from the fest, parked in my driveway, went inside, came back 20 minutes later and now it wont start. I'm getting power from the battery, all the electrical parts are working. But, when I turn it over to start I get nothing. No clicking, no sounds anywhere, nothing. Anybody have any ideas of what I should be looking for?

Check fuses

Check under the dash, there should be a thick yellow wire for the starter (I dunno if it is different in other years..) . use a multimeter and see if your getting voltage when you turn the key to start.

Take a rubber mallet and tap on the starter. The abendix may be sticking

i kind of had this same problem, it was working fine then i turned it off and it wouldn't start again. it turned out to be worn out brushes in the starter. i replaced them and it worked fine
