Default XJ wobble

I'm new to the xj scene; recently my father-in-law decided to give me his '01 2wd limited. He said it has a front end wobble at 59mph but no other speed. He had the new tires rebalanced twice and had the alignment done and everything checked out ok. I was thinking ball joints maybe? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Trac bar is the common problem for stock height wobbles. Bet the axle side bushing is toast.

thanks for the quick replies. Now, I do have an additional question. I've seen a lot of posts labeled "death wobble" but I was under the impression that it was on 4wd lifted vehicles or am I totally misinformed? Thanks.

no u can get it on a 2wd stock. i had it super bad on my stock 4x4. it would throw me into my window. i replaced the trac bar and had tires balanced fixed it. but after some pretty crazy wheeling this summer with my 2" bb its starting to creep back into my life

Default death wobble video

heres a video I made the other night in my 92 XJ I fixed it shortly after. turned out to be the frame side TRE of my rusty's trac bar. I would check there first.

Thanks for all the help. My f-i-l is bringing it up to NC the week of Thanksgiving. My wife is also due with our new addition that week so it will be a little while before I can work on it, but at least I know where to start. Thanks again.
