Xj whine at highway speeds

Hey y’all, I found some threads that have talked about whining but not as specific as mine so I figured I’d try to get some more thoughts.

I have a 2001 xj sport. Just hit 170,000 on it. I’ve recently had the power steering pump replaced along with the lines and the pulley right by it. I had a whine and the pump went bad so it was replaced. Whine kinda went away… because recently I’ve noticed that after getting up to highway speeds and coming back down I can hear a whine that mirrors the rpm. But I don’t hear it at idle, or if I just drive to work. It’s when I’ve been in the highway for awhile and get off I can hear it because there is less road noise. It will mellow out after the highway and if it sits for a little before I drive again it’s gone, until that cycle repeats. Thoughts?
