Default Is an XJ stock muffler/tailpipe the same as WJ?

My mother in law shows up for turkey day in stock northern rusted WJ sounding like a NASCAR all upset . Clearly she has huge exhaust leak, sound like no muffler. It looks similar to my XJ which are more common in yards around here then WJ. Question is will it fit if I grab after cat to tail pipe? Thanks

Yes I can do all that. Just didn't know if someone knew for sure. Be nice if hangers and all worked...

well if your welding already.... you could just weld the hanger to any part of the pipe? or throw in some scrap on the hanger and call it a day... or the autoparts store's exhaust hangar clamps....

looking at the Walker exhaust diagrams, The Cherokee muffler is offset opposite the Gran and pipe shows 2 1/4" for XJ and 2 1/2" for Grand. But I think with an adapter here or there it could work, bends are very similar
