Xj stock 8.25 rear end.

Hello everyone. I purchased an 8.25 rear end out of an xj a while ago. It suppose to have the 3.55 gear ratio. But when I opened it up today I saw this..

Looks like someone marked the backlash or some other number on there. You confirmed the gear ratio? Looks like factory tracloc?

Those numbers written on the ring gear mean nothing. There will be numbers stamped into the ring gear that show the tooth count for both the ring and pinion. It will say something like "41 11", which when dividing out will give you 3.73. Not sure what they'll actually be for 3.55's.
