It sounds like your going to just keep stock size tires on your XJ, if so you might as well go to a junk yard and find a stock wheel.
I run 33x12:50's on an 8" wheel next time I'm going to a 35". Even a 31x10:50 tire requires a larger rim at least a 15x8 with 3 3/4" of BS on it for clearance.
Plan ahead when your buying your rims.

Right now, and anytime soon, I wont be going over a 31" tire. So I should be good with the stock size for now. If I do go bigger, I should have no issue buying new rims hopefully.
Now would you suggest junkyard rims? do they usually carry a warranty?

and run at like 5 psi still on the bead XD
When I first bought my Cherokee, trying to figure out a cheaper way to go for 16" wheels so I could run TreadWright tires, I researched what other vehicles have a 4.5-on-5 lug pattern. The wheels that looked the best to me were Ford Crown Vic. I found some at a JY, got a deal on five wheels--$120. I even checked to make sure they'd fit my lug pattern.
One problem. They have 6" back spacing . . . Doh! I never thought to check that, not realizing that Ford passenger car wheels could be that damned different from Cherokee wheels.
Anybody want some Crown Vic rims? I got some for sale real cheap . . .
Before you buy any kind of wheels whatsoever, best study up on wheel anatomy, back spacing, etc., etc. Sure wish I hadn't been so cavalier about it. I wound up using 15-8 steel wheels and mounted 33x15-12.5 Firestone Destination M/T tires. I got them cheap on a brother-in-law deal---$212 apiece for five, mounted and balanced.

On a stock wheel a 31x10:50x15 is too large, you need a 15x8" wheel with 3 3/4-4"'s of BS for clearance. You do know that I assume?
Summit and Jegs both have their own branded steel wheels that look close to the Cragars, with a little more BS 4" but cheaper.
