Default Xj rim advice

Hey guys, I'm looking for new 15" rims for my XJ. I really don't want black but everything on the cheaper side is black. I've had bad luck with having rims that just wont balance. Any suggestions on where I can get some decent rims?

The cheapest/best I've found is $81 each for an alloy rim from Discount Tire which I've almost always used and trust.

I've already had to replace one of my stock rims cause it caused a shake at speed. It was out of round. I think the PO hit something HARD.

Its either that or I order 3 more factory rims "new" and just go that route.

I'm open to suggestions. I wanna keep it on the cheaper side. I think $81 would be my top price so far but I'll consider others.

I was just giving a general idea of my price range. As for my current rims having balancing issues, I've had 7 different shops, several different people, and they range from dealer to small shops none could get it perfect. Had them road force balanced which showed them not 100% round. One was really bad, replaced that. Now I'm here.

You have 2 more options: chrome or white.

I really can't tell if your trying to be a dick or not. I understand that is basically all I got left. I'm looking for suggestions on brands, sites, and anything else really. You have done neither so if you don't have anything to contribute to the thread please stop posting in it.

Sounds to me that its not all the wheels fault maybe a tire issue. The tires might have an uneven wear going on.

Jack it up and spin wheels You should be able to tell if it's a bent wheel or a tire with a broken belt or what.
Don't buy wheels when you really need tires!

It depends if you plan to really use your XJ or its a "Mall Crawler" and never sees the trails, mountains, rocks then buy a "Purty Wheel". Like most I use mine and sometimes abuse, bend etc. so I buy a steel wheel and black easy to paint also. Cost was not the deciding factor for me but a consideration as I have bent 2 in the last year, one in town when I hit a curb while sliding on ice.

If you will consider steel look on Summit or Jegs for wheels or any in fact usually best prices anywhere. They do free shipping and will price match with anyone even it the other place does not have free shipping. I run the Cragar Soft Eights 15x8"'s and all 5 of them were $435 on sale.

My next set of wheels will be a set of bead locks for sure so I can drop my PSI even lower and not worry about the tire coming off the wheel.

Sadly its not the tires guys. I've had new tires put on and it still has i :/ so I'm pretty sure it's the rims. Maybe I'll swap out the tires with my friends old ones just to make sure but I'm almost certain cause I had the one rim checked and it was out of round.

I don't need a pretty rim but I just don't want the usual black steel wheel. I don't wanna spend $280 on soft 8s just to paint them either lol.

Soft 8s are about the cheapest your gonna find unfortunately. Black wheels really don't look that bad.

$58 for cragar v5s. They're steel, black and held up to abuse from me for 3 years now. I hate chrome on jeeps, that's just me tho. Think black looks way better. Made in the USA too, least mine were when I got em

The v5s were an option but I can get stock rims for $50 each and I'd only need three so I'm debating on going that route...
