I am in need of a drivers side lower headlight housing for a 1986 Jeep . Cherokee Wagoneer Limited which has the quad headlights. I have called almost every junkyard in the Dallas area with no luck and my local Jeep parts guy says the part is discontued by Jeep. After market searches have also been unsucessful. That housing is the only part I need to get this baby inspected and back on the road, legally that is. This forum is a wealth of information so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I like it in the dirt
Part for those front ends are rare. I would consider a swap to the single, as opposed to the double. Such a shame to lose the waggy touch though
I thought of that, looking back it would have been cheaper, but I really like the way the front end looks with the four headlights, kinda makes it stand out like the woodgrain wasn't enough! I had no idea I would have this much trouble locating parts. Once I found a grill I thought I had it made. Now I'm on a quest.
This has to be the slowest follow up to a post ever! I solved the "quad" head light problem on my 1986 Wagoneer Limited my son wrecked. Dead end after dead end I resorted to a head lamp application chart of all things searching for a vehicle that used the same quad set up as my Jeep. Low and behold a 1989 Chevrolet 2500 series truck uses the same head lamp and a near identical head lamp bucket which is the part I needed! Bucket was shaped correctly, adjustment screws and all. Only major difference being right and left on the Chevrolet truck are opposite on the Jeep . Thats it ,PROBLEM SOLVED!! And I have to confess I got that old Jeep to pass state inspection with the head lamps duct taped in place! Actually looked pretty good with the trim installed over the top ! 1989 Chevrolet R2500HEAD LAMP ASSEMBLY RIGHT SEALED BEAM TYPE - OUTER Full Size Pickup R/V
