Default XJ - Noise from Drivetrain

Simple,

When rolling, it has a constant squeeking coming from Transfer case it seems, and when driving, there is a loud clattering (not a word) noise coming from what seems in front of the Transfer case, this is not constant but happens often. Just started today, think it could be the center bearing where the two U-Joints are in that knuckle before the tcase? All my U-Joints have been replaced in this last year, ALL. Not a Oriley's special, and they where greased 5-6 months ago, (Did NOT grease the U-Joints in that knuckle) forgot brand but there not ****. I'm running an 4.5" Zone lift, with 33,s XJ is an 01 for more info.

Another thing is, I don't know weather its bad bushings in the lower controll arms or uppers, Has a lot of like play and slop when stopping and going, the axle seems to have slop that is. Also making a bad bushing noise.

Tips, info, anything would be greatfull.

I'd start with checking the fluid level in your tcase

The first is the np242. Thisis the np231. Hope this helps. You probably have a 231 however the pic of the 242 was perfect for showing you what to look for. Take out the top screw/ bolt and stick in your finger. The fluid should be topped off to the top fill hole. Make sure your on level ground. Most people use 75/90 wight gear oil.

Like said above, take off the top of the two plugs (the plug can be tricky - I just used an adjustable wrench and unwound it all the way and it fit perfectly) and stick your finger in there to check the level. The fluid should be sitting right at the bottom of the top plug. If you have an NP231 (and if you don't know which tcase you have, there will be a tag on it that will say which one you have), it will take automatic transmission fluid (the tcase fluid should match the fluid that is in the tranny) - which should be Dexron/Merc III and will take a little over 1 liter. Shoot while you're down there, you should just change the fluid. Really simple to do and it's good reassurance that you've done it.

Took the front shaft off today, drove for a good amount of time, heard the clatter once manybe, unsure though, sounded like it but nothing constant like it was when the shaft was one, at a dead stop and letting foot of break and rolling do not hear that squeeking anymore. Center barring could be bad in driveshaft? Also about to check transfer case fluid.

Help, can't find any place that has this centering ball bearing. What is the correct part name I'm looking for? All the places I've called carry a boot kit or some stupid ****.
