okay so yesterday i went wheeling, it was cold so all the water from the mud holes was freezing on my xj. after going to fast through one hole my engine quit right after i got out, so i checked the oil and it looked fine. so i waited a couple minutes then started it, ran rough until i put it in drive and gave it gas. now onto the problem. when we were getting ready to go home i had my jeep off for like 15 minutes and then tried to start it and it didnt do anything, so we tried jumping it and all i got was a click from the starter, tried hitting the solenoid that didnt work. tried bypassing the switch to engage the starter and all that did was make the starter click. i thought that the starter had ice in it. and im getting my battery tested right now autozone right now. so does anybody have any input on what my problem could be?

thinking its mostly the starter, hoping it has nothing to do with the mini hydro-lock i had.

 

Sounds like the starter may of froze from the water.
