Nice my old multimeter doesn't have a diode tester . I use my adapter to actually power up low amperage parts to see if they function properly before I install

Yeah, I use a 5V one to power some LED's for security cam at night. but use the tester for, well, testing, however for assemblies with resistors they work well.
I suggest searching for "74 3smd blue led" and looking for one that has three chips on the end of a stick. Color may vary a bit depending on the vendor but generally blue works very well on our xj's. Avoid ice blue though. You need 5 pieces. (But you prob know that already).
I can't guarantee you'll get the same results, but after doing my instruments this is what I got. The climate control is a custom job tho, as I soldered flexible LED strips inside the enclosure.
The third link in my signature has a lot of good info on specific light sizes and such.

Ive had little luck with LED strips in the main cluster, but Im lighting more than the factory numbers. That AC panel looks perfect.
This is the result one of our most recent customers got with is:

Maybe some cutting and a second light source...
New to the forum, go easy. I've been looking at all the LED bulbs necessary to replace the bulbs in the HVAC and in the tach, but I just want to make the default/original colors look more bold/vibrant. Would the Green or Warm White LED be better at this?
I've read through this entire thread and honestly can't really make heads or tails of it. Thanks in advance.

The link is to a post of photos of the 97+ with different lighting configs. These are just the ways I've tried.

Also, I have a thread about LEDs in my signature that is another source of info.
