Default Xj axle help please!!

Hi, I jsut got my first Xj a couple days ago Well i got Two xj's a 96 sport and a 91. I am plannig to beef out the 96 into an offroad machine with the parts from the 91.
Well back on topic....I am wondering what i should do with the Axles in order for it be preform well as a DD as well as an off-road machine. Right now i have 33's A/T tires with Stock axles.

put a ford 8.8 in the rear from an explorer. do a search on 8.8 swap on google. the front will be fine.

what rear end does it have before you swap an 8.8. If it has chrysler 8.25 then you would be swapping good to good. both are great though. i have a ranger with 37" with stock 8.8 and never had problems and my xj has 8.25 with aussie and 31" and never had a problem.
