XJ Ask the Question Thread
Dukie 564, sorry for the confusion, these numbers are not mine but from the manual. I just finished a fuel pressure test and at idle mine was running at 42 PSI. When I had a friend turn on the ignition for the fuel pump to prime the fuel pump would push 20 PSI and then fall very fast.

Hi guys. My '99 XJ Limited makes a "pop" as we enter a curve. This one single pop occurs whether we're entering into a right or left curve and the steering wheel spoke is no longer on the horizontal.
My local shop performed MA state vehicle inspection yesterday (pass). The mechanic was able to identify the offending component while I gurked the wheel back-n-forth. I'm at work, need to call-in the part order to my local AP store, but I cannot remember the name of the component in-question (too much going on - had another brainfart - sucks getting old).
Will one of you please be so kind as to post the figure page from the FSM showing the '99 XJ steering components (it's the figure with the arrows and names of the parts)? Otherwise please name the component (track bar?) that has one end bolted to the frame at the driver side end and to the centerlink (or something like that) at the passenger side end of the business.
Much appreciated...
