The only technique I've been taught is for when a vehicle needs to be commandeered and failure simply means moving on to the next parked car. It involves literally breaking the steering lock through brute force and leverage.

Alternatively, don't lose your keys.

Likely, yes. But what do you consider too hot?

thanks, i thought this too for a while, but then remembered it didn't really happen before so it got me wondering.

Now for another question, i changed my leaf springs today. i had what I thought was a wallowed out bolt hole or the nut was broken. turns out it was my bolt (front eye) who was broken right at the nut, so we tried all we could think of and could not get the bit to back out. Now I think I will let me local shop do the job of removing the nut and welding a new one, but I'd like to know how long I should expect this to take for a 4x4/jeep oriented shop. an hour? two? do they have to remove the whole spring or they can only remove the front eye, lower the spring and get to work from there?

I've been looking into it, I need a new crank sensor, is it worth the 80 bucks for the Mopar one or can I buy a 30 dollar cheapo one?

I have a 88 with a almost brand new cooling system and it still get a little warm if I'm sitting in traffic best thing to do is get electronic fans and do away with the bed driven fan a few company's make some bolt on fans but one of them has a tripple fan assembly that I imagine would work great

You realize 1.3 million Cherokees were built, and almost every single one still has a mechanical fan. Right? And many of them likely still have the original clutch. They're due to be replaced after all this time, but many still haven't been.

I don't trust those electric fans especially if the mechanical clutch fans have been deleted...

I think the numbers is in the ballpark of approximately 2.1 million?

A hash mark over 210 and then some. It only does it in extreme conditions, i.e. a/c on and slow trafic. It runs around 210 all the time anyway.

IIRC the e-fan doesn't come on until 215 and doesn't turn off until 205? Seems normal to me.
