I am sure this has been covered before, but honestly. I'm too lazy to search. Are there any stock leaf packs out there that will fit the xj and give it a lift of atleast 3 inches? Coil springs?
A stock leaf pack will give you no lift. Theres lots and lots of 3in leafs packs out there along with 3in coils and shocks.

I've got an 87 cherokee with a 4.0 that I bought back in June of 2012. It has an intermittent miss that is driving me bat-s#@t crazy. I have done all of "cruisers" renix jeep refresh tips. I have replaced the TPS, 02 sensor, ignition module (under the coil), cap, rotor, plugs, wires, crank position sensor, and have tripple checked all the plug-in connectors. It passed emmisions with flying colors and starts and runs really good with no issues other than the intermittent miss. It does it mostly when driving at a steady speed and may do it only once or twice in 20 miles and sometimes it does it every minute or so. It does NOT miss when accelerating or sitting still idling. I don't think its an interuption in spark because the aftermarket tach does not glitch when it misses. When it misses it is a very quick slight jerk and sometimes it is a light miss and sometimes it is a hard miss. I have tried every connector under the hood and I can not get it to miss when idling. The fuel pump is noisy sometimes but it misses whether the pump is being noisy or not. The only thing I can think of now that it could be is a sticking injector or a bad ECM since it seems to go away after I've unplugged the battery but it comes back in a day or two. I'm at my wits end. I've worked on cars for over 20 years but this one has gotten the best of me. Surely somebody else here has had the same problem and found the solution. I am fed up with this stupid Jeep and I am dangerously close to taking it out in the desert and tossing a couple of road flares in it and walking away. Or putting it on craigslist. I've put a ton of money into this bastard trying to get rid of this stupid miss and I'll never get out of it what I've put into it. Somebody please help. My Jeep's future is precariously hanging by a thread.
Anybody? Is my XJ the only one that does or has done this?

If my front driveshaft has any play at all on the axle side does the u joint need to be replaced? I've been getting a squeaking/rattling noise lately but it's on and off. I'm not getting any vibrations, that's why I don't think it's my u joint making noise. I have a feeling it's the wheel bearings.

Anyone have more info on what ALL the vaccum ball controlls. Trying to delete it and get it out of the way along with all the lines. 1990 4.0 4x4 xj.
I do not have or need Cruise control/heat/ A/c. Does it control anything other than that?

Why do you want to delete it? Just move it. Takes all of 5 seconds.

for the back you can buy "lowering shackles" fron any parts store. I heard they give two inches of lift in the back for XJs. and for the extra inche you could build some bastard pack off of a S10s stock leafs.
Unless your leafs are sagging then XJ stock leafs provide no lift other then returning it to stock height . which i suppose is higher then what you had before lol
