Where's the fuel economy checklist thread? I've been searching and can't find it! I drive a 96, LIKE A FREAKING GRANDMA. Completely stock. Get 11 mpg. It seems to run fine to me. Passed emissions a month ago. No CEL. Nothing.
Awful
96 2 door automatic. Forgot to mention the one issue: I was driving up a hill yesterday and the throttle response was REALLY terrible. Not really a steep hill.

Also just adjusted the kickdown cable. Definite improvement.

You can test 02 sensors with a multimeter from what i've heard. Definitely check your air filter first tho if you havent.. and then your plugs. Those two are cheap and easily checked. Then go down the list.

'88 Renix Jeep Comanche, automatic
Backfires at certain RPMs (no tach, but always same RPM range), regardless of what gear it's in. Fairly new O2, dizzy, cap, rotor, plugs
Just patched exhaust and made it longer. Still sputters and backfires, but at a lower RPM range.
Jeep occasionally feels like it's jumping forward and backward (not wobble) if holding throttle at the edge of that RPM range. Recently, RPMs jump, drop, and steady when shifting to overdrive at moderate acceleration.
New TPS.
Suggestions?
